Could it be?

***

Could it be
that you are dreaming of me?

Now that our summer smiles
along the fragrant avenues
of clear starlit nights
have turned inwards
to light our lonely hearts...

Now that the memories
rise within our minds
flooding every empty moment
of sterile ache and longing…

Could it be
that you are dreaming of me?

Do you see?
Autumn tests its power
on the first leaves
blushing in twilight’s glow.
In solemn pirouettes
they ride the wind’s blow,
like hushed whispers
they fall, they fall.

A crepuscular sadness
runs through my veins
keeping my heart
in its cold violet grip.
Yet Love’s soundtrack
along our soul strings
can’t be erased, ever …
My thoughts focus on you
where life’s charm is rooted.
And I wonder...

While this world turns
around the sun alternating
our days and our nights,
we too are in constant motion.
Whether awake or asleep
our souls’ connection
knows of no separation.
Of no seasons...
It knows of life’s beauty ...
and I wonder...

Could it be
that you are dreaming of me?

Could it be?

Margherita, your poetry always touches me deeply. It whispers to my soul and stirs my heart.

Your poetic eloquence is incomparable.

You may not post often, but you post well! Quantity is not the order of the day ~ quality is! ~ and my dear friend, you deliver!

I am tucking your words away in my own personal file of poetic treasures.

Hugs with love and admiration,
Linda

(big angel hugs) Oh Margherita, this beautiful love song tugged at my heart soooooo much as I always have these thoughts and dreams too; imagining if my girl is thinking and dreaming of me and yearning for me just as much as I yearn for her, hoping that she's not sad missing me and that she doesn't lose faith and go for someone else! (sigh) I'm such a helpless romantic I always blow a kiss out my window to my dream girl before I go to bed, wondering if God is delivering it to her and letting her know as long as my heart beats I will never lose faith finding her and giving her all the love she needs and everything her heart desires! God Bless You, sweet friend, this is breathtakingly lovely and sensitive, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Margherita, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thank you dear Noah for expressing so lovingly your appreciation of this poem (and all the others too!) and for bringing it back. May your dreams manifest, if there has ever been a deserving Prince, it is you!
Thank you also dear Jason and dear Honeybunch for your kind comments.
Dreaming IS definitely IN!
