all the clocks are set
                      so endured
in black and white
all depends on fate
while th  moon searches for answers
stirring the water to meet this reflection

He               loved and left his heart
for all to see
yet I am still lonely
he               loved and held his guitar
with strings of song and peace
what I try to believe

I wish I could grasp hisbeauty

when my thought/s lead the grace
of our dance behind such mirrors
of eye
~
and I              wish for your lips
to take my breath away

that I  find you still
in the touch of my pressed palms
whispering to my soul
be not the stranger of my heart
reduced to such ember

but remember how I danced
to please your eyes

that I have breathed
each shadow and root
hidden from night

of you, my amber

if I should find
that warmth

may I dance again
and let the essence of love
become me

and leave me to sleep
between your hands of night

so many times Ive seen my own reflection in your poetry...
so many times youve written the words I could not give voice to...

thank you for the butterfly connection and for the healing I found in your exceptional talent.
I swear, you exhale and its poetry.

Happy Anniversary Lauren...

Heck, I wish I could grasp the beauty of this and indeed all of your work I've read. Then I could imbue mine with a little of it.
You and your poems never fail to astonish me and leave me with a feeling of sweet warmth inside.

I find it amazing that you can take the very thoughts I think sometimes and give them wings.  You, Lauren, truly can embellish the average word to make it soar in the reader's mind with thoughts of - "Damn I wish I could write like her!"  Congratulations, and don't ever stop embracing the written word, it suits you well.

To see real beauty - look with your heart.
