written on the walls,
__________ lives here, permanent ink
as death in its intensity
harbors my mind

happiness
an inch beyond arm's reach
always...
or so it seems

Double that thought... it read somewhat dark to me, Maureen.
Enjoyed.

Not a very pleasant place to be.

I am sending you a magic wand so that you are able to reach out and pull that happiness to your heart.  Magic Wand

I have come to
realize one thing ...

... if
I shorten my arms
they can reach
much further!!

(sigh)

it is a give and take world
after all

miss reading you .... hope all is well

~Sending heart hugs your way Maureen~

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

Dear Maureen, this is a sad moment very well rendered.

... you need not reach for happiness, it reaches for you, from within your heart.

Love and hugs.

Thank you for your responses. I have been very busy teaching at the start of the school year...something I haven't done in  ahemmmmmm.......many years and Kindergarteners can sure wear one out.

Then my Father-in-law who has been in the hospital for over a month passed away last week and the viewing/funeral plans were all  this past weekend.
I am home for a day or two of rest and will try to catch up a bit on here. I still have 6 weekends of the Renaissance faire to work at and my time is limited on here. Besides my brain is actually too tired to come up with any poetry although I did come up with one for the second day of school  with polaroid picture cards of the children for their parents:

       First Days

You came and walked me to the door.
Inside I came to find,
That friendly faces waited there,
so helpful and so kind.

A picture taken just for you
I did it, can you see?
In Kindergarten all day long,
I am so proud of me!

Thanks again for your thoughtful responses

M
