I Hear

I hear the howling of the wind
A fouling never to exscind
It whispers in the soul of me
That lives in serendipity

I see the sky and greenery
The lovely, lovely scenery
It drops a salve within my eye
But does not stop the tears I cry

I feel the rain upon my skin
Rising welts upon it’s thin
Washing down the dust of grime
But does not stop the passing time

I smell the odors decompose
The odor started like a rose
It lifted me to heavens goal
And handed me my pass of soul

But still I cannot understand
The rhythm of the marching band

Hehe, the last line made me chuckle a little. I love the meter in this, so it makes it hard to believe that you wouldnt' get the rhythym in music

But this was so  lovely.. the beauty of life and nature, and yet the fleetingness (is that a word? :P) of it. Very good!

Love's a lovely lad
His bringing up is beauty
Who loves him not is mad
For I must pay him duty

The Salvation Army

If this is it

Does terrific work

Chubb I believe sponsors

"all is gone and you had better believe it, because we will be back here next week" merchants

who weakly and weekly test your "doorlocks"

I like the words, maybe a bit harsh

Sy

There are so many oposing emotions and feelings in this.  I like that in a poem...but this: "But still I cannot understand
The rhythm of the marching band", just isn't true.  You understand rhythm like no other!

It's really a subjective thing, thank you.

Martie,
Not as much as I'd like to.

Hi, T-Man!

My soul lives in serendipity as well! I suppose you could say that we're kindred spirits of sorts!

Beautifully written, my friend!

Loveya!

Well Sy, seeing that Martie is a woman I'm going to side with her. Besides she's right even though you're write. How I do enjoy the flow of your pen and your mind. Peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
