 The kiss of truth by Mahalene Louis * * * Gateway to bliss * Words tumble from your lips like diamonds in free fall, alerting my senses. My heart projects a rainbow into my tear filled eyes and a silvery stream of emotion carries me closer and closer to you. Rhythmic sounds of drums shift my blood and make me deaf to all the voices except yours. I still my thirst of love drinking avidly of you. Lips touch and words fade, receding on the world's long roads of pain. Together we rise above the colourless areas of indifference, freeing ourselves of the chains of mediocrity. It’s time to meet our desires curling up within each other. Daring to be! Lips part softly to the gasp of wonder. Blinded by flashes of light we close our eyes, while this ardent kiss dissolves our defiant egos. Without further hesitation in heavenly stupor we finally slip through the gateway to bliss.
