This morning I awoke and
Found my son unchilded
Sleeping like he was alive
My lips turned clay and
My stone hands scratched open my sternum

Love crawled from between my leaden ribs and it
Lay down and
Cried under the kitchen table

I'm reading your critique message as I'm unsure if I have read you before, but I'm compelled to say I'm not reading this as a literal vision, but more of a reclamation of yourself, if only by the compassion of visualized regression.

Sometimes it takes a proper fit for us to claim our pain. (wince..that sounded so Dr. Phil, wince again, sorry)

But um, even if he said it first? It makes sense to me.

Enjoyed the process here, and it is a process.

You've been gone for some time! It is good to see you posting again.

That must be one mighty heavy pen you've got there! I'm not quite sure that I am totally understanding where you are coming from with this write, but I can tell you this, you certainly grabbed my attention! Whew! I may not have understood it, but I sure as heck felt it!

Sending you a warm, welcome-back hug, my fellow Canadian,
EA

Help me understand..........the child is no longer a child and the mothers love weeps for the loss of her baby?

As those before, I really was grabbed by this, and maybe my feelings about what it means are incorrect...but I still enjoyed it very much.
