Moved from a shack to a barn

Well, here’s a first

A woman I know
Has just directed me to write a poem

“Write”, she says
“Tell me a story”

“Nothing about your muse going missing”
“Just pretend you are talking, to me”

“Write something about free will and obedience”
“I know you have something to say about  that”

While its true
I’ve felt compelled to write, now and again

Of

This, or that woman
And on occasion

For

A specific lady

But this, I believe
Is the first time I’ve been enjoined
To write a poem

By

A woman

And if not, I’m sure the first to ask
Would have wanted
A flowery study on devotion

Or, at least
Some impertinent prose
Concerning the use of her assets

Though, I do hate to disappoint a lady
I’ll need to proffer an apology

For disdaining her topic
To write instead

On irony

I will be taking bets on just who this woman would be!

Irony is a favorite topic of mine.

You do it justice as you do with everything you write of.

Aw, shucks! When I read your title, I thought I was in for a scintillating kiss and tell!

No matter, you entertained me with your witty charm afterall! ~ How ironic!  Flirty 2

I came back to both apologize for rushing through this earlier, but also to inhale the layerings.

*shaking me head*

this is grand, and I hope you know that.

I thank you, and a funny thing, I have come to expect the unexpected from you, and I was still caught offguard.

Damn I love that.
