for people who enjoy seclusion

pleasantly flamboyant
he holds me in our wedding villa
off beat & simple
table for one, with a suspense novel
curling around our toes
i found the lone coyote
howling with a smile
while pointing towards that mountain
with our name and the “do unto others”
passage carved right across the top

unperturbed years of wedlock
he and i…
this chalet offered us, finest amenities
rustic, splendid, with no snippiness of surprise
we are a found autumn open eye, with
laser surgery guiding us through the dust

about the beginner who can excel
“thank god for this new testament”
lighting us like incense
teaching me rowdy martial arts
i’ve thrown away the door mate
and rapid fire rants
loving both the male and female part of us…

this is a “not-for-profit” institute
standing amidst a whole new world
with arms of seclusion, firmly
& lovingly, wrapped around my waist
looking over a posh garden ocean with rose
colored breath
my animus, sings to me, an old song
“getting to know you”
soft and sweet toothed
i am his geisha, he’s my nameless man
yet
my wild and famous twin
we’re a crystal sete filled with
that new york state of mind
akin

First of all, Lee, you write with prose/poetry and I love that.

Second, this read to me first, as the most beautiful place I could ever wish to place myself in.

Third, I also saw this as one self realizing both halves, you know?

you always leave me thinking, thank you for that.

I've been figuring out
how best to respond to this,
or at least, leave a comment
worthwhile.

But littlewing did it for me.

Lee, I enjoyed reading your poem. As I've told
you before, you make me feel as if I'm right there
going through whatever it is you're writing about.
That, to me, makes a good writer. Thank you, Sweetie.
Hugs,

I always find at least one line I wish I could buy from you--today it's this:

"we are a found autumn open eye"

wow

I can munch on that one line for days, Lee.

lovely!
