As though frozen in time
this heart lies dormant
awaiting  the coming season
of change…

when life, in cycles
rearranges

     Time found us there
       amidst the fall

Hues of Autumn
did not dare compare
to the colors of you

   and I..

I could not look
beyond this day
for only time could see
what these few precious
moments would be.

I in daze, yet awake
still feel    this dream

how your brush
stroked my soul
in artistic touch

your pallet held shades
unknown to me

and even now
amber rays float down
leaving slight touch of warm
on pale of skin
too long touched
by winters kiss

In glance,
a gaze now turned

towards heaven

eyes wide open
             the blue of you
stares back at me.

The season’s splendor
has shown its grace
and I would linger
in                 this special place

knowing it would only
make more difficult
the journey back

to an ice queens lair

a palace void
from shed of tears

crystallized, frozen in time
         {echoes of when, heard in rhyme}
to only glisten
by sun kissed visions
               of  remember

  I met you there
            at the edge of September

when Autumn melted me
within the colors of
your fall.

oh Donna, this was written with much faith...a magnificent emotion of love and patience drips from your words, let alone, the questions you do not question, but more so, reval in that moment as the few gifts in life we are granted.  Wonderful writing hun, with amazing heart.

This is, by far, the best I have read from you besides it meaning more to ME than you shall ever realize, Donna.
