The wind picks up
And sounds like a roar
As the rain starts pouring
More and more

Lakes, Rivers and Creeks
Start overflowing their banks
And trees start breaking in half
Homes get blown away

The power goes out
All over the city
Has stupid people
Have hurricane parties

It is too late for those
To make a run for it
Why they have those stupid parties
I don't know

As quick as the hurricane strikes
it is gone again
Now all we have to do
Is look out for the next one

Poetry is beauty in words.

yea Julie, Dennis is coming, isn't he? And we still aren't done fixing the damage Ivan left here.

I think we're all a little more prepared this time though...people may not be having those parties now
