If all of you is but the robe my mind weaves
Sheer pink, a radiant wrap that enfolds me
If not the blush upon my skin translucent
Icy still the fear forbearing in rejections wind

Or just by chance of a moment’s breeze
That denotes my own withdrawal so wrong
I choke upon the breadth of these emotions
Knowing you, a spirit sudden in flight

If all was matter small, that I swept to the shore
As I reached to touch a most beautiful dream
I am stretched to disbelieve my own heart
To honor the face value of your words…thinking

That we fail to ask for the most pure of what we need
Yet you come, in soothe upon my fears
Your words bring days of tears, entwine of joy and sorrow
And I know not the weight of each, but the credence all

And could you know that you have moved me
Outside the circles of myself, into a realm truth
That desire guides my hands to want, my heart to hear
Though yet the void sways as wheat in the breath of God

And still around me wraps this love
Far more than you have said atones to perfect voice
As blindly I walk this path, led only by the hand of spirit
And rapt in sheer, bejeweled and pink

I agree with iliana.  I knew after the stunning first line that it would be a gem.
Absolutely love this line:

"If all of you is but the robe my mind weaves"

Enjoyed,

I have to agree with the others on this one. It is a gem penned in fine flowing elegance. More! More! More! please?

Oh my...reading this poem is like watching a play being performed in old England where emotions were bold and gentle at the same time....Absolutely stunning...*big hugs*

to shed the circles that bind
if only in brief interlude
betwixt butterfly and chrysalis
the first moment of clarity

Kathleen?

One of your best, yes!

Thank you for a library moment
of a current treasure
to be read over and over again.

I truly enjoyed the imagery! that unfolded
so slowly, but so realistically!
