Sing
sad songs
nightingale.
The evening's growing cold.

Flowers curl
within their beds
as clouds
obscure the moon.

What stars tonight
won't be as bright
as once
they were ago

when Spring was green
and full of dreams

so unaware
of snow.

yes, and it is exactly as you describe it...so unaware of snow...bittersweet moments relived...

"when Spring was green

so unaware
of snow."

On the whole, touching, but this part I felt so much.

I love the haiku feel of this one.  Nicely done.

Beautiful John..especially the above lines,
which could stand alone as a poem.

Excellent. Liked the melancholy, reminiscent mood.

Goes with the touch of frost on my ...umm..windowsill...heh.
