The crystal chandeliers of starry night Cast their silver rays and crown our heads With ageless tint; our hearts immersed in sight Of one another, as the spell of love spreads With each gliding step as each is taken; And freely they flow, as the perfect words Of a Master’s poem now long forsaken That lift from a page as black, unshackled birds... But the lovers’ masks that we both wear Suit well this Lady and this Knight in love; For the bond through time and space we share Does not yield to physics of the stars above: But holds our hands in a direct link of hearts And its own passage to the heavens charts. I always admire this style of poetry, mainly because it's beautiful, but also because I could never write this way not effectively anyhow, without it sounding cheesy |
