Its not yet come to fruition,
and the unclarity of direction
is a budding rose behind the
blue horizon,

and this rain that freefalls,
is mere preamble
to how the trees will don
the wrappings of the night,
as the beads of heaven
shroud their lanky shoulders,

and the sky that downed some perignon
performs a masquerade for now,

the blindfold pulls a little tighter
and i long to feel you
another time or two,
before we end the joyous rendevouss
that played its epic
in the decadent delights
of two lust driven strangers,

i could probably skip
the doubts and speculation,
and just untie the dandelions
and toss a bunch of wishes
straight to the clairvoyance
of the one who heralds me with dreamtalk,

this is stuck between the rain rhythms
and not yet written;
as the outcome remains a bit elusive
of whether i'll kiss you in epiphany
or strike you with a stonefaced epitaph,

let me rejoice for now
in the playfulness of a drizzle,

though i brace
for the dousing of a battering wind upon me,

either way, i'll watch through windows
and view the composure of the trees,
in a running stitch of silver rain
or with limbs hit hard with sharpened icycles,

they wear it well.....

knowing on the threshold,
there is always
the reaping of the golden apple blossoms.

   **Happy birthday master

driven to know the unknown;  whatever it may become, you're right, the blossoms soon to come...
Enjoy your writing a lot!

or strike you with a stonefaced epitaph,

I will bet for the kiss . . . *smile*

(those lines were amazing, Michele.)

You do know, don't you...that you are a painter and not just a poet? This is so visual, so graphic....some of these pictures are going to be with me for a while.

What an incredible gift offered through your words... if they try to take it back to the store, they should be shot. ;-)

Your poetry slays me, IG.

Gee, tried to choose my favourite lines
and ended up with almost the entire piece.
Well done Michele, very much enjoyed!!!

Ahhhh....! Beautiful birthday gift....

knowing on the threshold,
there is always
the reaping of the golden apple blossoms.

Is that smile for me,
or the sunlight in your eyes?
Always a reaping-
whether grim or joyous....
remember,taste the apple!
