Heartaches poured into one another
Like prickly leftover metals, clawing at flesh
Shards of broken bottles lay in pieces
Restraining, the smallest drop of pain
Out of pocket expenses, spying an opportunity
Carrying a bouquet of wildflowers

The in-between place pushed up position
This was a real place, a world almanac
Like a thick mythical consign
Royal turquoise of evensong
Biceps of things yet to come
Like warm folds of God’s wisdom
Taking photos for a year book

Dinner was inside me
Acutely aware of what was around
My soul once again mentioned a dream
Despite, imagination running away with me
Like a dazzling running ghost
Released from existence
I ran with it….
Life denied me nothing…
Despite all those calculated steps
School was intoxicating
Old time street lamps…the governess
So many starter kits thinking of me
With eyes looking up

History finished its throbbing tango
We were friends...lifetime partners
I had lived inside all these years
Felt the whisper of an open ceiling
the soft muzzle of a new born foal
Happy bubbly...like drinking champagne
with goals...

Branches of underground trees
Pregnant with surprise, graciousness & reality
Like sharing someone’s hand
During a quiet walk on the beach
Not having to articulate anything…
Simply, holding an echo of that horizon
Watching it stream out…around, above

Willing the divine in human light
Desire to be alive, like oceans with song
boats with a soft wind in it's sails
Gathering flowers…despite the storms
Despite the darkness, which I've come to enjoy

Drink, I thought, drink while you can
Knowing, one day, no one would notice I was gone...
no one but me...
I smiled, looked around, there was not a soul in site, none that I could see...
stripped down bare naked, and plunged into the deep
blue pool..

Realizing...its never to late

and all the naked people watched
as I stepped into the pool
in my three piece better suited

they thought I was strange perhaps
but I knew the truth
about suntan lotion

and crowds and rules
and other things that didn't spend
in heaven or macy's

you turn on my tv Lee J
and I enjoy watching now

Lee, I could cry with the beauty of your words. The images are indellibly imprinted upon my mind ~ but I think I will save it any way! I wouldn't want to forget a line!

Blessings to you, Dear Poetess,
God is smiling at you!

May wildflowers bloom every day of your life!

Ooops! I forgot to save it!.... There, now it is safely residing in my trove of treasures.

Sheeesh! I'd forget my wings if they weren't attached! lol

Have a glorious day!

A connection, that's the ticket.
Historical roots connect us with the grace of reality. Even without articulation, we know it exists. (Though we sometimes forget)

So many starter kits thinking of me
With eyes looking up
