Venturing Outside of Routine

Primordial intonations evoke
intangible sensations, whispering
breezes which hasten by in a baroque
kind of way. And the tide basin doth sing
of temptations and translucent secrets
which are but its to maintain, as chanting
diaphanous waves, reverberate regrets
of limpidity. An open Highland fling
of concentrated infinitudes doth
waltz in luminous vastness o'er Beijing,
and I, oh I, drink from the river froth
and extend beyond these protective walls
while arresting one odd fluttering thought,
arousing my lethargic soul with calls
to see, to breathe, to be that which I've sought.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!
