Hand in hand we walk the hills,
In summer heat’s abound,
To a spot of untold beauty,
That once upon… we’d found,
Then stop beneath a sturdy oak,
Beside a crystalled brook,
To rest a bit in oak tree’s shade,
In this, our special nook
Where once we talked of what would be,
When we were joined as one,
But when is now and once upon,
Shines as the August sun.
I take you gently in my arms,
And feel your warm embrace,
Kiss you lightly on your brow,
Gaze on an angel’s face.
My eyes drink of your loveliness,
soft grace of supple limb,
Sweet creature of the welkin blue,
angelic seraphim-
Free as the summer winds that blow,
Our hearts they beat as one,
But suns must set and so we leave,
Another day is done.
But left behind beside a brook,
Beneath an oaken tree,
A little bit of both of us,
Where you and I are we

Oak trees are my favorite places to make new memories under...

Loved the poem. Thank you.

enchanting and full of life, these memories you portray...carismatic love, joins closely with happy thoughts, sometimes, ones that sometimes keeps us going for the rest of our days.  Upon those days when things are not as they should be, it's always nice to escape into the arms of memories....hugs to you for a lovely read.
