Moonbow

please, tell me that
there are moonbows,
such beauty must be,
should be, has to be.
please, somewhere
a night black sky
and a moonlit
shower
then...
faintest
haze traces
a hanging arc,
colors a moonbow
there in the darkness,
blesses even the stars.
there have to be such;
they are too exquisite,
too beautiful not to be.
please, some things
simply have to be;
they have to be.

This is incredibly beautiful, my friend... Your words are as delicate as air... and yet... they have such power. And the arc format is perfect!

After reading this... I'll be looking for magic in the sky... and every peek will echo your plea that moonbows exist. *S*

Until I see one... the blessing is right here. *S*

Of course there are moonbows...
they're found in bare footsteps
in the sand by the seashore
in the blink of twilight...

If we truly believe, it will be.
It has to be, I hope.

Moonbows - what a lovely concept - I could get lost in the magic of that idea and image -

Mesmerizing form, Ed...  As I read the soft words, silly as it sounds, it felt like I was spiraling down the hourglass, linked to the words as I slid.   I know, you're going to ask, "Are you taking pain pills again?"
NO!  It was kind of like listening to an orchestra when the perfect amount of bass lifts up the instrumentation and then that sound encompasses itself around your head, holding it captive in its insulation!  Oh, it's no use--NOW, I do sound like I'm on meds!  I'm hoping you'll understand this-- that perhaps, you may have experienced the warming, the encapsulation  around your mind when nothing else can enter.  This is the affect this poem had on me.  Rarely have I experienced this sensation.  Truly a marriage of form, rythym, sound, thoughts, words...

BTW, I read the poem you suggested I read.  Another excellent poem.  I left a comment there as well (it must have been in #34 as I didn't see it at the top of my screen afterward)

...and so they are.  Never knew they existed, except as spun to life by a poet’s mind.

Beautifuly done, almost as a quiet prayer. Well, it has been answered.

Now look what you’ve done.

On the next moonlit night, there will be a contingent of poets across the continent hunting the night sky for....moon bows.

I will be.

Oh, I'm glad this came up again because I wanted to share the most marvelous sight I saw once.   I saw a SNOWBOW.  Is there such a word?
