Never close enough

Spiraling down
into the unknown

        a void shown,

one that I wear
proudly, yet
there is shame

housed here

        nameless

I can't tell you
where, or whom
yet know that-
I've no need
to lie about
such things

Broken grasp
fell from grace

        clipped wings

of innocence

Was I ever?
Ever that pure?

what does white
taste like, and how-
how does it smell?

I'm ivory

      ivory bone

thrown together
molded to meet
what version
I see of myself

Lumps of clay

      we all started
      that way -

if I were a rose
I would only be
a single petal

the one that fell
from the bosom
of the bud on the vine

I lay on the ground

I wither
I die

I sink back into
the black dirt
of earth

and root myself-

to try my hand
at living again

you amaze me, such raw emotions surface and take the reader by the hand, on spiritual journey of self examination and concern for the welfare of tomorrow.....drenching with great wisdom, grace, and humbleness...truely good writing girlfriend...

Bravo! Wonderful stuff! You show such a keen sense of your place in the order of things....good feeling to have, I think.

Ivory is pure white with some warmth added to it!

~ and I do believe ye be the whole rose! Flowers

You are a very fine poetess, Dear Tima.

~ May your petals continue to rise up from Mother Earth whenever they fall.

Love & Light,
Linda
