Between the Lines

I am thinking of tomorrow,
and of tomorrow's tomorrow,
anticipating the etcetera.

Maybe it's the heat
or the lifting of weights,
the lightness of clothing
barely covering...

Still,
I feel a butterfly emerging,
the old becoming the new
with parts of me holding onto
parts of you

Trying to
unravel the mysteries
that keep you cocooned.

Wanting
to share the summer breeze,
transforming me into
the memories of youth
leaving a path behind
and embracing the travels
of each tomorrow.

M

Have to echo SEA here...

you brought back a memory of when I was first truly introduced to the word etcetera...

from the King of Siam...

and as for the butterflies?

Smiling at that...

and hugging you...
