Prison-Sanctuary

Time collapses in on me
able to view its passing
yet, unable to affect event it its passage
Here in this self-made prison-sanctuary.

Time collapses in on me
is it confusion or maddness
that clouds sneses and diminishes passions
Here in this self-made prison-sanctuary?

Time collapses in on me
numbness permeates every sinew
seeping into the very marrow of bones
Here in this self-made prison-sanctuary.

Time collapses in on me
decades or centuries unmeasurable
I remain bound yet unchained
Here in this self-made prison-sanctuary.

It's been ages ~ decades or even centuries ~ since I last read one of your poems!

I literally have no sense of the passing of time! lol Time certainly does have a way of collapsing on me as well!

Most often our prisons are self-made ~ but they can also serve as a sanctuary. I have been there, and I do understand!

Thought provoking piece of writing, ancientone.

Love & Light,
EA

Dear Friend,

Yes, it has been ages...I find that work and life itself of late have stolen a peice of myself and locked it away in a prison where $$'s rule and work is tearing at the very fabric of my being.  AAAHHHH.. to break free would be sheer ecstasy!!!
