Carolina
The darkened night takes hold,
Waltzing in perfect unison
We sneak
The wood is cold
The air is salt

A cool breeze, not afar from the shore
I inhale the ocean
We embrace the pier
Alive so alive

Streaming Blues embrace
The starlit sky
Bare-footed we dance
Warmth parks our path
Our bodies were soft,
But our minds were strong
Salt made of sugar,
I stir with the distant cry of the gulls

Our hearts race, burning with a perfect passion
Engulfed in another’s lagoon,
Rising and falling with her tide
My words floated like waves
Her eyes never pulled away
Neither one fell

Soft heavenly breeze from beyond the lights
Take me back.

If my poems could talk they would mean more than the words

feel the passion here~

My spirit will rise
above the sea~
There will be no drowning
of my soul or me~
