street lights behind
the blind man's eyes
as he reads the rain
with his face fingers

saying the lines
with mouthfull overflow
like an ocean without ears
or the time to know the music

that it can't feel
when the black rocks pierce
the fragile silk of tides
entwined to give their lives

to some sacrificial sand
laying prostrate before it's god
waiting to become the golden glass
that paves the streets of heaven

with visions from a blind man's eyes
