Monday Morning Coldness

Winter is clinging, the only warmth
in a mind trying to pilot
what can't be.

Wanting to shed the layers
of impossiblity, watching the tabled iris'
close up in freeze position
waiting for a flashback of yesterday
and a residue of tenderness
to loosen up the curves.

The mind is twisted in retreat
revealing nothing, yet everything,
as the mirror whispers the secrets
in a mist that is weighted into droplets
sliding down the face of today.

"Deprived for too long,
with darkness on the rise,
the dreams are too subtle
and delivery stands the test of time,
as I am worded in reflection
still waiting to reveal my heart."

Blinded by thoughts (too many)
often skipping that beat
that would take me into the world of you,
I am feeling the air today
holding onto memories
to warm the way.

M

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."

again...my pilot is out..just when I need it at 40 degrees outside and barely 50 in here...
so much for the repairs of a few months ago... thought I wouldn't be needing it for another 6 months or so.

A warmly dressed M waiting for the "heat man"

Lots of clever thinking on such cold day!  I think this was brilliantly written.  Hoping it warms up soon!

The illusion of heat, so sweet
Yet the bones chill until
Repairs are again made and paid,
Ahhh the joys of the home are known
By what is spent, in payment

summer is soon
