...a repost because some things never change - and I'm feeling melancoly

How Would I Know?

To hear your voice,
your laugh,
the tiny sigh you make,
the way you rustle
when you twist and turn,
the pad of your feet
across the floor;
To see the sparkle
in your eyes,
your smile,
your nose,
your hair
about your face,
the way you look at me;
To touch your hand,
your cheek,
your lips,
your heart,
your soul;
to feel the warmth
of your body next to mine…
and yet you dare to ask,
if I were to ever need you,
how would I know.

There is a freedom of pretense in this poem, taking note of the beauty found in the simplicity of knowing another…

Enjoyed this poem.  Thanks for sharing.

Really liking how you write! Seems like you often put a tang at the end. Just had to take a moment to read your latest.
