I love it when you pour the syrup so thick and rich
my tongue is nearly overwhelmed
and I am capsized

in a passionate stream of words flowing
as if the sun and moon
were secretly conjoined

your rich vocabulary and imagery tease me
with a taste of divinity’s offerings,
leaving me sated and starving at the same time

and oh, how I love it
when you play my heart with colorful words;
please, please don’t ever stop

play me endlessly with all that you have,
for I am an empty vessel,
waiting to be filled

'Tis for all the wonderful writers here, my friend, including you!  I love the beautiful imagery and play of words that are painted upon this blue screen.

Scratching the essence
seeing beyond the surface...

that's what a good writer does
and leaves it behind for us to sniff out,
savor, and become satiated...

and like Chinese food,
leaves us hungry for more...

Yep!

My poetry sings
Said with passionate fervor
Oh... not just mine ...sigh

But your poetry does sing.  Well done!!  Ken

The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light
