It is not I that brings the summer’s breeze, nor I that gently lets the leaf float lazily upon the stream... For I am but I...one small speck of an ocean’s sand, a tiny glimmer of a sun’s ray...a single chirp of a thousand birds, I am. And I know, yes....I know that you are to me so much more....the glade of green that quietly sits in wait of your dance. The cloud that shadows your step, calling me. The cry of a loon, distantly calling, yearning to hear in return that one sound...and I... I sit alone, feeling the tremor of a heart’s throb, sensing the sigh that clutches my throat, trembles my hands and squirms me.. And I wish, oh do I wish...to bask upon that star that is your eyes, to touch the Milky Way, ride a comet’s tail...and more...as long as you are there....holding tight to me... Even in my dreams.... |
