In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2005-04-19 11:25 PM

Be still and hear the wind
enter the orchards

here where dead memories
sink into earth
of no gardens, just cold dirt

trees and walls just images now
long after the storms of March
have passed by

you left me playing with the stars
always looking up in wonder--
looking down for another day

'pressed to edges, pressed to stone'

where warmth once laid

my fingers have the need of touch

he understands the connection

I prefer his laugh
in fragments of day  he

captivates me

like rain disappearing
into the blue of dusk

Sometimes I find myself thinking of him --
he crawls inside       it feel effortless
as though he has always been there

and when my heart is full of pain
the rain will tap the glass and reflection
and I will await such a reply:

I lit my cigarette

you waved and entered the darkness
a single petal in search of life

tomorrow I will arise early

to meet you there

~~*~~
I'm Standing on a bridge
I'm waitin in the dark
I thought that you'd be here by now
Theres nothing but the rain
~~**~~

Gorgeous.  I loved this read.  I was touched...I know that I say this often...however when my heart is moved, it searches for words that oft times are not there...this is one of those occasions.  I truly loved this poem.  I hope to read more of your work.

(smiles) Oh Lauren, this is absolutely enchanting, sweet friend, you instantly had me daydreaming of the sound of winds between the orchards because my mother loves orchards like I do and she collects them and she has a whole corner of the house where there's plenty of sun dedicated to them! (does happy dance) You always weave emotions and nature so beautifully together, yay, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I feel as though your teardrop of thoughts somehow seeped through to my own… the way you flow your words, the reader is swept up into your emotions.  Enjoyed the write..
