Break of Day
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

Behold the dew that glistens,
On grass at break of day,
~ Reflecting rays in early rise,
As the sun comes out to play.

The stillness is soon broken,
By birds as they are waking.
Chirping songs of welcome,
As brand new day is breaking.

Good morning, MG !

That photo simply takes my breath away as well!

I write my poems and then go searching for a pic or graphic to accompany it. I lucked out with this one! ~ indeed, the break of day!

Ah, that was the morning I awoke to...  (Now saturated in rain and tomorrow, snow on APRIL 23.  Linda, if April showers bring May flowers, what do April snows bring?)  Still, it's absolutely breathtaking with the redbud and dogwoods in bloom!

Enjoyed your poem, but that's a given!
