Delight

I find delight in rhyming words
As much I think as watching birds
Or flapping of butterfly wings
The vibrant color that it brings

I find delight in mornings bright
Just as much as the moon at night
The silver of the moons insists
The wonder of the morning’s mist

I find delight in holding hands
The wander in each valley grand
The daffodils that fill the fields
The fragrance that the flowers yield

I delight in the common herd
The common touch and common word
The common feel of mans embrace
The smile upon the common face

I delight each mornings fall
For making me feel ten feet tall.

Indeed your rhymes do put smiles on all our faces dear Sy.
It's good to see you delight in life's simple pleasures.

But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

Today, I shall remember these words.

If I weren't home sick I would go out to the park and hike.  That's what your words made me want to do..

  Thanks Sy!

And now you know why

I could literally cry with the beauty, grace, spirit and meaningfulness of this morning's gift of poetry.

I can see you smiling as you wrote this poem ~ and I was smiling as I read it! ~ I like to smile, so I am saving this delightful poem to my sacred file of "Sigh" treasures.

You helped set a very positive tone for my entire day!
