LEFT, THE RIGHT WAY?

The Left has gone so far that way
That it has met up with the Right
That went so far the other way
That the Left came into sight.

They both run around in circles
And they only know rejection
Of the way all the others go
But crossing at the intersection.

If you look for a difference
You will find it hard to see
For the one is like the other
Depending how they want to be.

No matter how wrong they are
You know they will not admit it
And even if caught in a lie
They will twist the truth to fit it.

It’s tunnel vision at it’s worst
With no light there at the end
Because it runs into itself
Around every single bend.

With all of them lost in the dark
Who will refuse to see the light
If you go enough toward the Left
You’ll meet those coming from the Right.

The funny thing is, that as they pass, they do pass within the middle ground.
Everyone meets somewhere along the circle, and the overlapping is to be expected, and I think, welcomed. The longer I live, the more I believe that Life's choices are never black and white.
And I believe the 'middle ground' beings make just as many mistakes in judgement as the extremes. They just aren't always as obvious, and are never as colorful or newsworthy.

cleverly pressed Abe... bravo!

reminds me of an old Johnny Cash tune

quote:

Well, the one on the right was on the left
And the one in the middle was on the right
And the one on the left was in the middle
And the guy in the rear burned his driver's license
