We become closer
When I view your fragile heart
It’s rhythm thirsty and dry, as you pull the curtain shut
Flashing teeth and fronting wounded disposition…harsh and vulgar by omission
A shove against my softer side, discouraging warm winds applied to drawbridge futility

And I am wounded for the moment, recoiling and pulling in the spring behind billows
Gray and thundered pillows…swelled with rain that cannot cease or turn the inside out
This silence like a channel stuck in mud, pond the weeded bed of stagnant oil bled
We become closer

That I take my leave and move beyond your eyes into the hollow of the eve
Tender to your solitude foreboding mouth of lake and lingered it’s reprieve
Thinking we are done, and said with spine that vehemence has won
Yet I love you

Following impressions in the sand to where you stand
I am the rain, finally and fragrantly a touch beyond your walls made clear
A touch upon your side to let you know I’m here
To hear you in the quiet of your thoughts, or fallen by the dreams expired
Within me all of love that is required…all that is to be desired
Moving closer two in nights conspired

Wow. How did such a magnificent piece of work drift down this page of blue? Hugging you for your sensitivity. Chris

this pours emotion in a soft rain touch - it traces the fragile of tender hearts - wonderfully done -
