Between the Lines

And so another day passes,
but this one feels the emptiness
left behind.

Only memories to touch,
a photo smile,
framed in "forever",
or maybe eyes
that could hold a conversation
without saying a word.

Maybe hand-me-down clothes,
that tell a story of childhood,
or a baby gift to your first,
tucked away in a drawer
later to be handled
with loving thought.

She is gone,
but always a part of you,
an angel to guide and watch over you
and never to judge.

Thank you everyone for your responses...I can feel her loss as mine as if it was yesterday and it seems Karen needs some positive flow that I hope my words and all our hugs amd caring can give her.
