in the shadows

Before there was light
there was need,
before there was life
there was a seed of memory
when you held my hand and
along the sand we walked as gods,
in the fleeting moments of awareness,
even as a child,
in my thoughts and dreams
I felt your breath upon my throat,
your heartbeat in my soul.

People usually think of memory as thought of something that has already taken place, but you have helped me see that it can also be awareness of the future.  In the circle that is time, it makes sense to me.  Thank you.

It makes me think that all things
are inherent
in genetics...heredity, and instinct.

Very good...thank you!
