Heavy laden air, with calloused ocean breezes
Gaze at notable recall, first dawn maturity
Traffic jams insulting one another
Overweight highlights, speeding through strands of romance
Lofty illusions, sticking to mind interruptions
Like there’s not enough time, to finish a hello
Less preachy, raping the daughter of Galileo

Motion picture hard-on’s!
Bulldozing down any home with boxing gloves
Taxing sorely, an oath of Venice
Cadavers left, broken bones of briefness
Shocked wide eyed gapes
For the sake of opium dreams
Around the Block in 90 Days,
Stepping off the heartbreak train?

Collectors of notched belts & disease
Even Rome wasn’t built in a day
All the while, beauty secrets of stars
Become European anti-aging facts
Powerful mantal pieces of modern day classics
Blinking neon signs with breast implanted sonar

An itinerary for, unfaithful housewives with sightless vision
Drowning in their careers of finding romantic
Within the cast, crew and photos, of the rich and famous
Does the “rock n’ roll” heart disappear with the
First strands of grey hair?
While gothic narrative writers, go for the jugular
Of inspirational fiction...dinner and a movie

Oh those eye rolls when my parents spoke the same
Not knowing what lay in store, and laughing
Society???? Priorities???
Prostituting everyone, like a pimp with a hoar
Upscale living, fast cars...
and beautiful woman!

Lee J

I read the words but this is an American.

It reminded me of "I heard it in the Daily News".

Thanks for the words

Sounds like Hollywood for sure.
But they all win awards, don’t they?  And surely deserved…too.

Enjoyed this one very much, Lee J.
