AM I?

Am I here on planet Earth
just to ask a question every day,
but never allowed to have my say
about the substance or quality of the answer?

Dangit, God, but you piss me off sometimes.
You created magnificent pristine wilderness
filled with amazingly resilient creatures.
Then you permitted one species to dominate
to the point of destroying millions of others.

And every time I ask you ‘Why?’
You hide behind some big dark cloud and growl,
as if my question was like some bothersome gnat
pestering you to respond.
Well, I am a gnat I guess, and I see
You can swat me into another realm
anytime you choose.

But I won’t go silently.
No, that question will be my last word.
Why???

Again you find the voice to ring out for your thoughts.  Well done, Kacy.  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

I am very glad that you stand up for what you believe....I think that God probably is too!  Everyone should live by your example.

how ironic?

Superbly done Kacy...  I think your "WHY"
says volumes...asks volumes as well.

Well done Kacy!
There are times when we all ask 'why'
Heart hugs.

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

Dear gnat
It is your right to question God, even your duty, is to do so.

Maybe if enough of us told him we were pissed off he would listen?

Always enjoy your poetry, including the angry ones...
