I am an empath and a traveler in time, I wonder if you’re dreaming when I’m sleeping, I hear sounds of too many dead still screaming, I see the future’s open paths and our sad choices, I want the collective human spirit to evolve, I am an empath and a traveler in time. I pretend sometimes that I am free to live naively, I feel frustration about knowing what could be, I touch the living sky and feel it touching me, I worry we will take too long to see, I cry out of frustration, broken hope and outrage, I am an empath and a traveler in time. I understand Life and Its very simple meaning, I say we must care for the sick and feed the hungry, I dream of lovers who’ve forgotten simple ecstasies of play, I try to keep the verbal "****-yous" from escaping, I hope to burn my debts of karma as I camp along the Way, I am an empath and a traveler in time. ©2005 by icebox |

It's not easy being an "empath" because it opens doors that should perhaps remain closed. To know what we are and how we think is an achievement in itself and I did enjoy this read. Thank you. |
