“She wore black moiré
Last night and donned
Opals to accent the curve
Of her neck as it was bared
For any like me to beg understanding
Of her skin
                      That changed from warm
Supple caress of my thighs
To the bite of chill
        When she took my hand
Into her depths

This morning she was calm
    Indecisive in direction
she would move
and I wondered how she would stir
under my own gaze if she knew
I was watching”
…………………………….
I penned the last word and closed
The leather binding
    Then listened for your breath

Easy now
And not as labored as it had been
When in the grip of fever you had asked
To be in my soul

I had tried
To let you see the gentler parts of me
But you spoke of demons later
In a fitful turn of half lucid sleep
     Leaving me to worry
You might see enough of me to know

There is no gentle in ones heart that is not also
Tempered with the steel cages we build
To keep at bay our own fears
                                    Our own failings

But for now you slept
And I had watched the Lady Blue under moonlight
Break stars into the glisten of fragmented dreams
Only to wear them along her curves
Enticing me the wet of her Druid Charm
……………………………………………………
“I have slept beside her on many a night
And felt her beg me closer
With Gaelic murmurs too deep in resonance
To fully comprehend.”
……………………………………………………..
So Day Six began

I have been reading your series and I find day six is a great time to tell you that I find not only great pleasure in your works but I find visions and life lessons in your words.  Keep 'em coming and I will keep reading for sure.  You sir should be the voice of a series on the screen.  Masterfully done!!

You have the uncanny ability to affect my breathing when I am reading your poetry. It vacillates between rapid and slow ~ and sometimes I stop breathing altogether!
