Grey

grey is a color I can relate to
it’s soft spoken-ness wraps
between the gentle folds
of my own black and white
and settles comfortably in
the wrinkles of my skin
I somehow wear it well
my shoulders have grown
to carry this translucent mist
blue seems a color of lack
so today I will stay in grey

just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart

Yes gray is how the world would normally work but we seem to feel these days that it is someone's black and somebody else's white.

Perhaps the gray is something they could strive for.

Very good words
