I woke to the sound of fog
dripping of the fly of tent
and the Blue singing some low tune
that reminded me of Gaelic laments

Your leg,
thrown over mine was warm
and I was reluctant to move
but disentangled myself
regretting I would not instead
run my palm along the outer thigh
and cup a hip as with a half turn
I wanted to pull myself to you

But,
there was time

this morning
you would want a fire to warm your hands
as well as coffee to sip
while you stared into the fog
seeing the ghosts I knew were there

they are always there
if we look
and your eyes seemed suited
to seeing beyond the obvious

No need to rush this day
The lady blue would give her ease
In warmth
           When the sun had burned
Away these mists

When the fire was hot
it ate tendrils of fog with an upward spiral
as I waited for coffee and you
then pulled free the old leather journal
with thoughts of capturing this scene
and how it was that I felt

but found the words to be as elusive
as those the lady blue sang
and just as hard to understand

so instead I sat staring at her bed
knowing that to share it this way
was to risk drowning

Just as I risked that with you

shakin my head and smiling at the beauty of this...

absolutely loved this....

The greatest beauty on earth, is
found in the hearts of those
who love....

Ah...yes...this hit the tender spot in me
where the green starts to shimmer...

all keepers, Sir...

all of 'em.

Beautiful...beyond any words I can find.

Now while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again.

SEE????   *L*

*moth wins* ...
*picks another poem for the prize.*
(chuckle chuckle)

Poetry is emotion put into measure.
The emotion comes by nature ...
but the measure is acquired by art.

into this night i wonder, it's morning that i dread, another day of knowing of the path i fear to tread.
