Pre-Election

Who deserves my vote?
To whom shall i give the privilege to rule?
Which,Bush or Kerry is worth the benefit of a doubt?

One claims to support morality but we need more,
He swears to have us protected and secure,
But where were those words pre-9/11?
Many waters have passed under the bridge,
And america is fast losing her grip of power,
On the world at large.
If soon, some positive change doesnt arrive.

oh! maybe its this other candidate,
perhaps he'll open the shut opportunity doors,
Maybe, who knows he just might be the one,
The very God-send we've been waiting for.
But is he worth my vote?
What does he have to offer,
Beyond sugar-coated speeches?
Can i take that risk and waste my one vote..

Post D-Day

My vote has been cast,
Now who will win the election?
On whose side will the scale tip?
Time's moving so slowly,
As we all wait impatiently for the results,
That we hope wil make tomorrow less dim.

Totally clueless,
to whose court this ball will be in,
In just a little while,
America's fate will be known.

Message in all this...

Oh Lord have mercy on us!
We have forgotten the essecnce of you.
Most believe your will should be set apart,
From the throne of authority.
But how could this be?

We remember not,
That "the heart of kings are in your hands",
And so to whoever the majority votes goes,
May it be your will we pray.

Cos from experience America has learnt,
That action speaks louder than any speech,
But above all things we need,
Yes we need a touch from on high,
A refreshing and renewing power,
Which will restore the many years,
That the cankerworm has eaten.

Jesus died that you might live...accept that and u shall be saved.

I am in absolute agreement that
GOD needs to be brought back into
the picture...

Thank you!

and I am in absolute disagreement.. that God should be part of politics. Seperation of church and state is a founding principal, and we dare, no we tempt that with our belief that government should be an arm of the church.. no matter whose church or whose beliefs. Morals, are not religion...

A very profound and excellent write!!
Well said!

Now while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again.
