Ice is Coming ~ Tanka

Sunbeam’s captured wink
Even loss rejuvenates
Tinted promises

Snow slick ice shall soon give trace
Glinting lights reveal all tracks

As all of the dying or dead little messengers
lie on an earthen carpet...awaiting the ice
to blanket them...

Well done KJ,  love the pic, so perfect.

How perfectly you captured those sparks which will transform soon. Beautiful picture!

I would love a lower temperature, we had an exceptionally hot October...

After a record high of 75 degrees yesterday
there most certainly is a chill in the air for the trick or treaters tonight.
Well done and love the pic.

"Snow slick ice shall soon give trace
Glinting lights reveal all tracks"

There is reason in the actions of snow revealing tracks,
The logic of it all is to make us slow down in winter, observe better
what has passed ...history is stopped, and we can study more clearly what has passed.....The brain is said to function best at 32 degrees,
the same temperature that freezes time pictures in snow...

I don't know exactly what these words mean, but this is what this poem said to me....

Come read to me some poem,
Some simple and heartfelt lay,
That shall soothe this restless feeling
And banish the thoughts of day.

well, dear lady, you've done it again, while this takes my breath away, don't remind me about Ice and the long drives back and forth to work...hehehhehe

Otherwise, letting go of those thoughts, this was most beautiful....hey, maybe, we'll have a mild winter? Yes?

Enjoyed

Color past it's prime
naked arms whisper my name.
A cold moon for light
as I shuffle through frozen
tears. Without you, I suffer.
