The Sun

The sun has closed the curtains night
The light has lit the morning bright
My eyes are full of greenery
My soul is weeping scenery

Flowers line a rainbows path
A babbling brook to take a bath
A breeze that fills my scent with wheeze
And thoughts of her in naked tease

Too wonderful a day by far
You’d think I was in Shangri-la
My mind is full of peace and grace
I dare not move this mental space

But as I move my eye the sky
I see a dark cloud coming by
It roars with pain and misery
It is a cloud of vagary

Stay your stay and hold your ground
And you will keep your rainbow found

I enjoyed this whole poem, especially the last two lines. which could stand as a poem by themselves...

Come read to me some poem,
Some simple and heartfelt lay,
That shall soothe this restless feeling
And banish the thoughts of day.

So beautiful!

And you should not move ...but there is always something that comes in as a disturbance of our morning peace ... but we better succeed in standing our ground!

Wonderful reflections, dear Seymour.

Let's be aware of the rainbow colors ... even if they are momentarily out of sight!

Love and hugs.

Ah yes, those dratted dark clouds hovering just over there - but we can look the other way and enjoy the blue skies and rainbow happiness - good advice -

Susan

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
