The poems I write come easy to me They help to express my feelings you see They help say things the mouth can't say They help to get me through each day I write about people that touch my life I write about daily struggles and strife I write about love that fills each soul I write about things that only I know I write to help the heart to heal I write about pain that's oh so real I write to help others say things in their heart I write about life and making new starts I listen to the hearts of family and friends I write of how their relationships begin Sometimes my words make them cry And others make them want to try I can write about a childhood dream I can make it real to them it seems I can write about love so very deep I can write the words that make you weep I can write to bring smiles to your face I can write to take you to a different place I can write about darkness, if you dare I can write it all cause I've been there I can write to give you a special lift Some think what I have is a precious gift Forgotten words from inside the heart I paint like a picture, words of art  |
