In Your Poetic Mind

And the time will come
of cold mornings and snow

I will remember
the summer dew that left
our feet wet
and the bay view from the windows
now boarded for the long journey
ahead

This is the way of all things
a simple faith
until the light of morning finds us
watching dawn break upon the
lake

My memories of you there
standing in the window
will hold a velvet calm until
the smell of lavender
will once again blow on the spring breeze

rebirthing my heart
to a new world
~
(my perception of this beautifully talented poet)

Your perception is absolutely stunning - lovely.

So many wonderful poets to pull from, Lauren...

your mask is beautiful, and I cannot wait

Could possibly be our Enchantress?

What/whichever.....either way,  it is
a very beautifully written poem.

Well, I'm uncertain too, but as Enchantress did you and was so well guessed, I think I'll go with Enchantress as well.  (Altho' she often has a bit more lost love in hers.)  Nice writing.  KJ

After a careful read of this gem, I think this a wonderful masquerade of Enchantress. Well done Laure.

Winter arrives

Early

With our lack of knowledge for our senses
To see the sense
Of what we do

Like all in faith
We rejoice in
The world's protection

To acknowledge
That we felt we controlled
Realised we didn't
And then realised we did

And the world dies for our actions
As the lake dries

My memories of you there
standing in the window
will hold a velvet calm until
the smell of lavender
will once again blow on the spring breeze

rebirthing my heart
to a new world

Before reading the other poets' opinions, I also thought it was our beautiful Enchantress glowing through your wonderful words.

So very well done!

Lauren, I cannot tell you how flattered you have made me feel!

To have someone who writes with your eloquence and grace portray me...
I am indeed honored.

I wondered when I read about 'the bay', but then,
there are so many excellent writers here,
I wasn't positive.

You  have made my week!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much lovely lady~
