Between the Lines

So went my yesterday, and the yesterday before
When nothing seemed to comfort that emptiness and more.
The cold and snow and heatless feel that overcame the mood
Left me wanting, craving of a hunger need, not food.

And still that feeling though possessed tried to visit fill
The hardness of the ground all iced protected each steps will.
A slippery slope on one I walked, with heavy thoughts of two
Knowing that no answer waits to questions in mind's view.

To hear a voice, yes any voice what good could that bring forth?
If only known, if only would, if only to feel worth...
