Lost in thought

"What if He was blind?"
I asked,
knowing disability.
"What could He do then?"

And now,

counting down
respectfully...

This is all there is
to this.

Letters drip off of my tongue,
sticky, and it's
wrong to beg.

So I plead
and ask
and pray,

"Let it not be like it is..."

Spoiled sore
from age in youth,
it wasn't s'posed to be this way.

Good tomorrows won't mean much
if I die today.

He was a man of sorrows
...I am a girl of tears.

Looks like we're on the same page, and it's not much of a consolation,
that tomorrow is another day.

Good write, GG~

None of us should have been (or be) spoiled in any way, I guess it makes us . . . us, in a messed up sort of way.  I have missed your words, Alyssa.  Please be well.

Blues,
bad page to be on. I hope the story gets better for you soon. Because you're right, the sunrise brings little joy anymore. Thank you for your reply...

Maureen,
thank you so much. Really... thank you.

jellybeans,
i've always loved your writing, though I guess it's seldom that I actually get around to replying... so those words mean a lot coming from you. Thank you. And I hope the best for you

Sunshine,

Cathy,
Thank you. I was afraid the line might sound a bit more dramatic than it was intended to, but I'm glad it turned out okay. The sun will shine here someday. I hope the days are bright where you're at. You have a good week as well.

sue,
all the, uh, shtuff... we go through makes us... us. But no, there are so many things that people go through that nobody should have to face. I hate that about life. Thanks for your reply, it's good to see you around these pages again... Take care of yourself.

Gentle Spirit,
your name certainly does suit you. Thank you, and I hope that all of your tomorrows are filled with peace and joy, as well.

Always, Alyssa
