Bonsais,
warm stews,
and bananas
greet and treat
both eyes and tongue,
when aged to mellow perfection
beneath a friendly filtered sun,
where thoughts age gracefully
with thyme to spare,
and today’s saucy thoughts
blend well with the stirrings
of yesterday’s offerings.

Well seasoned pots can soothe
the appetite of a savage beast,
while slowly peeling back the layers
reveals a tender-but-firm softness,
a sweetness both tongue and mind
can cherish.

~bon appetit~

Good grief, a feast for the eyes this was, and light as a feather too, we can't have it sinking now can we?  Up she goes for a poet's palate.

LOL, thanks, ladies. I thought for a while, this one may have been a 'rotten' post.
