Collapse isn’t the word for it
Womb of soul gave way to secrets
Like a match flickering, at first
Then, a twilight self conscious prayer
Who knew how to translate French novels?
Into 3 dimensional languages

You caught the flow of harvest
On frequencies unabridged
Arching a sweet death of
Coupling fingers on skin
Polished by sweet hangovers
Taking us hostage

Rushing to get to work
Like a hysterical women
I, the new adventurer
Smashing head on into nature
And a great white hunter
Particularly attuned to the mystics
Of unhooking my bra
While writing spring time sonnets
About out of body experience

We rented water taxies, fevered by the sun
Visiting abandoned islands of paradise
I fell from the top floor of your Aegean Sea
Into forests scented with green pines
Where hours wandered mortal
In white ermine coats
Furiously scribbling music
In the back of your throat
So you could light the dark with flames
Bringing me within 3 feet of the edge
Hotwiring our passion to slender curves
There, I lay tenant to your arms
What now seems like a trillion years ago

Did you know about photo enforced traffic lights?
Cuz I awoke one evening in your mind

LeeJ

I will say this with a sensitive heart.

Sorry Officer I didn’t see you
On my car bonnet
Your dog
On my windscreen as well

Cleaning it thoroughly
The weather is hell
Yes I thought the wipers were thick
But it looks happy and it does like your stick

Yes I took the corner
A race
Are you sure
Gone with no trace

Yes I do see the street sign
Behind my car
Well
It looks fine

No I don’t ever look
At those cars behind
It unnerves them
Crossing the road all the time

No I wasn’t on fire
Or a cabby on speed
Chased up the jungle
Or direly in need

Your suit is unusual
But the cut is devine
Rips seemed tailored
And coloured like wine

You wan’t a ticket
Just give me a second
There’s one hanging
Dave

While reading this, I suddenly felt an inner tremor ..... it surely happens only when I am "involved" in an outstanding read.

You do manage to paint some lovely scenes...
which I enjoy, very much.

So many visuals in this verse.
