High above fly sparks and wind-sent
Flashes
Tumbling down are sulpher-scarlets
Pinks and calret-
Gold, on fire, mixed with purples;
Autumn
breezes, warm in September
Blowing cold by mid October,
Baring trees by first, November.

Carpo has come to help reap the harvest,
Winnowing leaves from stems and branches
Fanning 'thorns and oaks and ashes
Shredding,
Birch and beech and aspen..

The forest floor is Demeter's granary,
That holds colored wheat's
Like a vessel of manna;
Sewn through with white threads
Of holy mycelia,
That resurrects life, in those fallen from heaven.

Their death seems their end, but its just an illusion
Of bright-life changing form, into shapes of dark-humus,
One must have faith in the work of the Goddesses.

Sad, seems the season when tree-leaves are dieing,
But their death's not a debit, it really is profit.

Come read to me some poem,
Some simple and heartfelt lay,
That shall soothe this restless feeling
And banish the thoughts of day.
